Get active……..….get involved in the largest annual spring litter cleanup – The Great American Cleanup.  Keep Peoria Beautiful is sponsoring a spring litter cleanup on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. 

Keep Peoria Beautiful will supply trash bags, yard waste bags, painter’s caps, and gloves to volunteers on a first come first serve basis. We need your help to make this cleanup a success. Help keep Peoria clean, green, and beautiful!

Keep Peoria Beautiful will supply trash bags, yard waste bags, painter’s caps, and gloves to volunteers on a first come first serve basis. We need your help to make this cleanup a success. Help keep Peoria clean, green, and beautiful!

  1. Find an area in need of a cleanup – your neighborhood, street or alley, a park, a vacant lot, a parking lot …… anywhere that litter has collected.  Target an area for your cleanup and let us know where it is by filling out the enclosed registration form and returning it to Keep Peoria Beautiful by April 15, 2010.
  2. NEW PICK UP LOCATION - Pick up your supplies (bags, caps, gloves) in the Olde Towne South neighborhood at the corner of Greenlawn and Ann Street on Saturday, April 17, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.  Click here to download map.  In case of rain, you can complete your cleanup anytime the following week/weekend at your convenience.
  3. If schools want to participate, since you are not in session on Saturday, you may have your cleanup anytime the week after April 17. 
  4. VERY IMPORTANT:  After your cleanup, call Keep Peoria Beautiful
    (672-6288) or email suedewey@sbcglobal.net to report how many bags of litter you collected. We need to know your results!   Remember to have fun!
