Orchid & Onions

Keep Peoria Beautiful has been bestowing these honors for more than 40 years to Peoria businesses for their outstanding effort in improving the appearance of their property. Orchid Awards are given to businesses that have done an excellent job in site beautification and/or landscaping of their property.

Beautification Awards are given to businesses that have done an outstanding job of landscaping and maintaining their property; a runner up to the Orchid Award.

Orchid Maintenance Awards are presented to businesses that have previously won an Orchid Award and they continue to maintain their property in excellent condition.

Building Beautification Awards are presented to businesses that have done an outstanding job in renovation and restoration of older buildings.

Onion Awards are given to business properties that are a visual blight in the community. The goal of this award is to encourage businesses to improve the appearance of their property thereby ensuring a cleaner and more beautiful city.

The winners are announced each September at the Annual Awards Banquet. This event helps to elevate community awareness of the importance of beautification and environmental stewardship. Anyone can nominate properties for these awards.
